She was an Indian, and was apparently adopted by Abraham Bassford. She is listed as a daughter in the 1880 census. [52] She attended the Carlisle Indian Industrial School at Carlisle, PA, arriving 3 Sep 1886. She is listed in the school records as a full-blood Painte Indian. She died on 16 Apr 1892 while attending the school. [191]
