(Memorial in newspaper stated: “In memory of my dearly beloved husband Wallace Edgar Bassford, who met his death by accident, Sept. 16, 1903. Gone but not forgotten.”³²⁴ His obituary gives the name of his wife as Bessie C. Hamilton, which would be consistent with the name of Elizabeth given elsewhere.³²²
