He was probably a descendant of Thomas Burkmar (b. abt 1742, London, England, d. May 1826, Northport, ME), and his wife Mary ____ (b. abt 1736, d. 26 Apr 1832, Northport, ME). He may be the son of Thomas and Mary’s son George (b. 1771, m. 1801 Patty/Martha Brown). [654]
