One source indicated that Samuel Jones had two sons “Jake and Sephus” who served in the Civil War. Jake must be the sone Jacob, but the 1850 census does not list a son Sephus. However, there are two sons named Stephen listed in the census. Presumably the older one should have been Sephus since a Stephen who matches the younger one is buried with his parents? [430]
