It is not proven which of Joshua’s wives would be the mother of Devillo. Based on his age in the census records, it would appear that he was born shortly after Joshua’s marriage to Eliza, so presumably she would be his mother.

She is probably the Phebe Basford who married William Guy Jones (prob. b. 31 Dec 1835, St. Lawrence Co., NY, son of Harry and Nancy Jones) on 14 Dec 1870, possibly in Denver, CO, however, this has not been proven. (Census records indicate that this Phebe was born in Apr1850, IL, and that she had a mother Elizabeth, b. Apr 1818, PA. [1229], [1230]
