The probate records for Stephen P. Basford, include an accout from administrator Isaac Hoyt, stating that the proceeds of a life insurance policy taken out on the life of Charles B. Greene (on Oct. 1st 1869) were to be transferred to the widow Lois E. Basford and her daughter Ethel C. Basford. Charles had conditionally surrendered interest in the insurance policy to Stephen Basford as collateral security [816] Louise Basford was the widow of Stephen Basford, and is prrobably Charles' aunt. Ethel was the daughter of Stephen and Louise Basford.

not given and his middle name was given as Adan. (No "e" on Greene in these records.) His age was given as 82 yrs. 7 mo. 22 days. Born in St Albans, VT. His wife listed as Eunice Maria Platt. Cause of death: Prostatic Hypertrophy- Myocardial Degeneration and Bronchitis. His death record in Cambridge Town Records gives his birth as 20 May 1851, and his death as 12 Jan 1934.

He married Eunice Elvira PLATT, daughter of Robert PLATT (7 Aug 1824-16 Oct 1901) & Charlotte POLAND (5 Feb 1829-22 Mar 1859), on 11 Jul 1871 in Bakersfield, VT.
