She was living with her grandparents at the time of the 1885 Florida state census.12

She married Henry STANLEY on 20 Aug 1891 in Jackson Co., FL.37 Born on 12 Dec 1868.10 Henry died in Jackson Co., FL, on 8 Oct 1935.10 Buried in Cow Pen Pond Cemetery, Jackson Co., FL.10

He probably died before 1900, since I can’t find him in the 1900 or any subsequent censuses.14
44. Louella BASFORD (Chesterfield3, John2, William G.1). Born on 6 Jun 1875 in Jackson Co., FL.10 Louella died in Jackson Co., FL, on 4 Dec 1954.10 Buried in Cow Pen Pond Cemetery, Jackson Co., FL.10 aka: Lou, Lieuella.27,37

She is probably the widowed daughter living with her father and step-mother at the time of the 1910 census, although the name is hard to decipher.21 She was also living with her father at the time of the 192023 and 193027 censuses.
She is probably the Louellen Basford, b. 6 Jun 1875, d. 4 Dec 1954, buried in Cow Pen Pond Cemetery, Jackson Co., FL.13,10
45. James Gordon BASFORD (Chesterfield3, John2, William G.1). Born on 3 Aug 1877 in Jackson Co., FL.41 James Gordon died in Jackson Co., FL, on 28 Dec 1964.41 Buried in Cypress Community Cemetery, Cypress, Jackson Co., FL.41 aka: James J.
It is probably that he his the son of Chesterfield and Saphronia Basford, although this has not been proven. He is listed as a grandson of John and Lydia Basford in the 1880 census.8 All of their sons except Chesterfield can probably be ruled out as parents of James since they either had died before James was born, or had families of their own listed in the 1880 census. Chesterfield’s first wife, Saphronia, died the same day that James was born. Presumably, Saphronia had died during childbirth and James was raised by his grandparents.
He was still living with his grandparents at the time of the 1885 Florida state census. His sisters Catharine and Louella were also living in the home which provides additional circumstantial evidence that he belongs in this family.12
He is probably be the James G. Basford who married Katie O’Sullivan on 11 Feb 1900, Jackson Co., FL.39 (The year of the marriage matches that given for James and his wilfe in the 1910 census, although his wife’s name appears to be Nancy C. in most records. Perhaps the “C” is for Catherine?)
