The obituary of her father indicates that he left “a daughter, Nellie R. Bassford and a granddaughter, Miss Elizabeth Ann Bassford, both of Harrisonburg.” [131] Elizabeth is probably the daughter of Nellie. Nellie’s obituary indicates that she had a daughter Mrs. James H. Knicely, who would presumably be Elizabeth. [460]

The obituary of her mother indicates that she was a foster daughter. [302]

[460] gives birth as 23 Jan 1906.
